Flavonoids 201

t201-s59-formidable-book-of-flavonoids.png

An advanced course in flavonoid biochemistry and applied science. Building on Flavonoids 101, learners explore flavonoid biosynthesis, subclasses and structural variation, molecular modifications, metabolism and bioavailability, analytical and regulatory considerations, and the extraction, purification, stabilization, safety, and manufacturing of flavonoid products. Applied work includes naming structural variants, examining representative molecules such as cannflavins and rutin, creating a molecular video presentation, and completing analysis activities and a comprehensive final exam.

• Explain major flavonoid biosynthesis pathways and how subclasses are formed.

• Analyze structural variation and common molecular modifications among flavonoids.

• Examine flavonoid metabolism, bioavailability, analysis, and regulatory considerations.

• Evaluate extraction, purification, stabilization, safety, and manufacturing considerations for flavonoid products.

Designed for medical and retail dispensary staff, cultivation professionals, medical cannabis clinicians, product developers, laboratory professionals, and other learners seeking advanced technical training in flavonoid chemistry and applied science.

Successful completion earns the Certificate in Advanced Cannabis Flavonoid Science. Learners who complete all four courses also earn the Certificate in Cannabis Secondary Metabolite Science.
